1)   Refer to Epistle to the Hebrews” in the Bible Dictionary read the first paragraph and the Analysis of Hebrews number 1-5. Make a list of what Jesus Christ is superior to:

Angles

Moses and the Law of Moses

The Melchizedek Priesthood

The Aaronic Priesthood

           

2)   Read Hebrews 1.Make a list of three truths Paul taught about the Savior Jesus Christ.

a.     Jesus Christ is the heir of all things. (Hebrew 1:2)

b.     Jesus Christ has the “express image of his person.” Meaning he looks just like God the Father. (Hebrew 1:3)

c.      Jesus Christ is “better” then angles. They are the one’s the worship him. (Hebrew 1:4)

3)   Read Hebrews 2:7-18, 4; 13-16, Alma 7:11-15; D&C 122:8. In writing describe why the Son of God came to earth to experience morality.

This question is asking why “the Son of Man has descended below them all.”  D&C 122:8. This reason can be found in the scriptures but it cam also be simple put. In order to pay the price of others physical sins, one had to experiences it. In Hebrews 2;14 it reads “ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that thought death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil. “

Another reason why he had to come to earth physical is because he was meant to comfort us. It’s very hard to comfort someone, when you have yet to expericen it. In Hebrews 2:18 “ For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted.”  These are two main reasons, he had to come to earth. Another was so he could have a physical body like the Father.
