Unit 1 Choice 1
This week in my New Testament class we study about the Lord's servants and handling church affairs. I grow curies of what was required of the Lords servants and since I strive to be one of the Lords servants I thought it was something that I should know.
What is required of
the Lords servants? 1 Corinthians 4:2
We are required to be faithful to the Lord
and his work.
Groups that are
selected to be examples? (1 Corinthians 4:9-17)
Apostles and Timotheus have been selected to be out
examples.
How dose being a good
example apply to more then just the Apostles and Timotheus?
1 Corinthians 4:15 is where I believe you
find this answer.” For thought ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ…”
Even if we are not Apostles we are still instructors of Christ. We must lead by
example because that is what he would do. Plus he is a perfect example of
who/what we want to become.
Why is it important
to not just know what is right? (Alma 39:11-12)
Corianton is a son of Alma and he was taught what was right
but his actions said other wise. It is what lead the Zoramites away from Alma
teaching. “ For when they saw your conduct they would not believe in my
words”. It also goes along with the age
old saying “ actions speak louder than words.”
Or in a more spiritual aspect we learn in James 2:17 “Faith without
works is dead.”
What powers come to
thoughts that do more then just believe according to 3 Nephi 8:1?
From this scripture I know that the power of performing
miracles come from doing more than just believing. It also means that you are clean, and a just
person. For me this means your honest, and trustworthy.
